This whole ‘Sandwich Cream’ thing reminded people of the time they got Graham Norton and Denise Van Outen to do this
As everyone freaks out about Salad Cream possibly becoming Sandwich Cream, we cast our minds back to when Heinz threatened to stop making it altogether, before responding to the national outrage with a relaunch and a price hike.
At some point, the marketing company obviously forgot they were advertising sauce and convinced themselves they were making a Carry On film.
Here are Graham Norton and Denise Van Outen, doing things that would definitely get you banned from the condiments aisle of Waitrose.
You can write your own joke about Graham Norton and a massive sausage. We’re not going there.
Only 14% of people put it on salads. Strangely, Heinz hasn’t published the statistics for doing this with it.
Contractually obliged to say that this is a bit saucy.
That might taste better on a stick of celery.
Twitter didn’t exist in 2000, but when Rob Young shared these pictures, the reactions were as you would expect.
Called Sandwich Cream as Denise had it on her baps.
