I once dropped a full jar on marmite, which shattered but all the glass fragments remained attached to the marmite and the whole thing slowly sagged like a Dali painting. It faintly beautiful

i dropped a mason jar full of simple syrup on the kitchen floor and i would have walked away except i was barefoot and TRAPPED by slippery syrup hiding shards of glass in every direction. it took 20 minutes before someone heard me calling for help.

Once a full two liter of coke exploded in my kitchen. We still refer to it as Ground Zero of Coke Incident of 2011. I went and sat on the porch for a while before I started cleaning.

I got a stove top pressure cooker last year and was really getting the hang of it, until I made short ribs with gravy & released the pressure too soon. Gravy on the stove, walls, floor, ceiling, etc. I wanted to throw the whole kitchen away.

This person had a good solution though. Depending on how clumsy the other people are in your home.
We have a rule in out family. It is called SAVE!!! When you do something like that you hollar SAVE and then go change your clothes & sit down & have a nice cuppa & the other family members clean up the mess.
