It probably says something about Donald Trump supporters that so many of their efforts to take down Nike end up as a glorious self-own.

You might remember that the so-called president’s fans were upset by Nike’s adoption of Trump’s nemesis, American footballer Colin Kaepernick, as its new poster boy.

First there was the guy who set fire to his Trump shoes while still wearing them.

It's a win-win-win. New Balance gets a little press, he'll probably buy another pair of New Balance, and Nike did not make an ad for old men who buy a pair of shoes every 10 years.
