The Independent had the perfect takedown of the Daily Mail’s ‘Theresa’s Triumph’ front page
MPs last night voted to back seeking “alternative arrangements” to replace the Irish backstop in Theresa May’s Brexit plan.
The prime minister won after she gave into Brexiteer and DUP demands by making a promise that she won’t necessarily be able to keep and one that the EU says right now is impossible.
The Daily Mail and the Independent had wonderfully different takes on last night’s events.
Here’s the Mail (and a few examples of what people made of it).
*Theresa May spends two years negotiating a deal she ends up voting against in favour of pursuing a delusional batshit crazy policy the EU already categorically ruled out before the vote*

TOMORROW: You would have to be clinically insane to write a headline like this. You would have to be wilfully, deliberately and voluntarily ignorant to believe it. #MailFrontPages #TomorrowsPapersToday pic.twitter.com/W4ylJ5WUhV
