Why does this stock photo even exist?

There are some very strange stock photos out in the world, although we can usually see some slight point in their existence, but we have to confess this one has us stumped – as it it will no doubt have those children if their knives slip.

When kikorbo shared it on Reddit, someone called TwiceCalledDead seemed to know what was going on.
