Ivanka Trump quoted Thomas Jefferson and the internet brought the burns – the 9 hottest

We can’t remember a time when any of the Trump children’s tweets about their father have ended in anything but humiliation, yet we’re not that surprised that they haven’t learnt their lesson, considering the gene pool. Ivanka Trump – clearly Daddy’s favourite – decided to equate her father with President Thomas Jefferson, by tweeting this quote.

“…surrounded by enemies and spies catching and perverting every word that falls from my lips or flows from my pen, and inventing where facts fail them.” -Thomas Jefferson’s reflections on Washington, D.C. in a letter to his daughter Martha.

As usual, the tweet didn’t work out how she must have hoped, for several reasons.

Firstly, she should have checked why Jefferson was beset by criticism.
