Wagamama got Piers Morgan riled over their vegan tuna all over again
Food chain Wagamama has introduced a new tuna substitute for vegans, made from watermelon, and it’s seriously triggered some people, including Piers Morgan. Here’s how they announced the new dish.
welcome to the bench our new vegan suika tuna. yep you read that right. vegan tuna. now, that’s next wave. but catch it while you can. available exclusively for #veganuary only 🌊#vegantuna pic.twitter.com/CQLIB5mXRh

And here’s Piers Morgan’s reaction.
Tuna is a fish.
Vegans don't eat fish.
So this is a pathetic lie designed to con the vegan-deluded public. https://t.co/TtgrouJt2n— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) January 8, 2020
He continued the rant on Good Morning Britain, where Susanna Reid did her best to talk sense into him.
no animals were harmed in the making of our new vegan tuna…just @piersmorgan’s feelings pic.twitter.com/PCKc4cVgze

Wagamama’s tweet just riled him even more.
It’s not Tuna, stop lying. https://t.co/ljlI1eWSGv

Back to your safe space @piersmorgan.
Seriously, why does a restaurant you don't have to visit, offering a dish you don't have to order upset you so much. So many breakdowns just because companies are trying to take vegan's money as well as everyone else's #snowflake https://t.co/CgqEZJqKXY

The aptly named Joe Plant had a question.
What do you call “artificial plants”, Piers?
These are vegan meat replicas and it’s perfectly reasonable to name them after the thing they’re trying to replicate. Only someone with an IQ lower that 80 would be confused.
— Joe Plant (@Joseph_Plant) 13 January 2020
Piers might want to get that IQ checked out.
