This exchange about the ‘greatest American who ever lived’ has just gone viral in the corner of Reddit called ‘facepalm’ which is reserved for case studies of stupendous stupidity.

And probably not for the first time, either.

Except if this one isn’t a joke then there’s definitely no hope. Except, given the state of everything right now, we’re still not entirely 100% convinced.

Either way it’s one hell of a payoff.
