As any newspaper journalist will tell you, there’s no more important paragraph in an article than the first one.
If you don’t grab the reader with your opening words then you won’t grab them with any of them.
And surely no opening paragraph grabs you with quite the velocity as this one, the ‘greatest ever’ according to @GoldenVision90 who just sent this Guardian piece by the fabulous Patrick Barkham viral on Twitter.
