Technology. When I was a kid we were excited for the next version of windows and all the newest tech. Now as soon as something comes out I have to ask myself how the government will weaponize this against me. At one point in time we thought technology would fix humanity’s problems and now it seems like it will make all our problems worse.

Wearing fancy shoes! I was a fashion editor in my 20s and at the time there seemed to be a considerable overlap between the chicest of shoes and the least comfortable shoes. Somehow, someway I just dealt with the pain. Now I am 41 and wore some 3 inch heels to last year’s company Christmas party and am still traumatized by the days of pain the followed.
