This reminds me of the 1st Christmas after my divorce. My daughter was 3 and my ex was being difficult about $. We went to Piggly Wiggly because they had $5.00 trees. I felt awful but my daughter was thrilled because she could reach the whole tree to decorate.

It’s a funny tradition but there is a respectable “no waste no want” vibe as well. Happy Holidays to you and your son, man!

Every year I harvest a tree from my property that is going to get knocked down from my property development and driveway building. This tree got accidentally pushed over by an excavator this year, and I give it another a chance to be appreciated pic.twitter.com/oiF7DldlXF

I fell in love with an ugly tree at the lot this year.
Wife vetoed bringing it home… I am still heartbroken. Baby for scale. https://t.co/9uv87kB4qz pic.twitter.com/Q19vH4wYjb
