A GB News presenter said foxes being hunted by dogs was no different from the wild and ended up torn to shreds on Twitter
Hard to believe we know but fox hunting is still a thing as we go into 2026. Or, at least, ‘trail hunting’ is which often ends up with a fox being hunted regardless.
Not for much longer if the Labour government has its way, and not everyone’s happy about it. Especially if you’re the sort who spends their Christmas holidays dressed up like this.
'I'm in serious trouble if it comes in. It's my entire life.'
GB News reporter Will Godley is live in Chipping Norton with trail hunter Amy Aldworth, who says a potential ban on trail hunting is 'her life' and describes the 'devastation' it would cause as 'heartbreaking.' pic.twitter.com/sDrGubw2ET

And it prompted Will Godley’s GB News colleague Tom Harwood to share his feeling that such a ban would be ‘absurd’.
Very moving interview. It’s absurd that the government wants to ban dogs chasing after a scent on the ground. https://t.co/SqtGQKGG97

It prompted a bit of to and fro on Twitter as you might imagine …
They chase a fox if one appears, but you know that already.
— LestaLefty (@LestaLefty) December 26, 2025
Fox shouldn’t appear then.
— Tom Harwood (@tomhfh) December 26, 2025
But they do, they are wild animals.
If they are only following a trail why do they need terrirmen to flush out foxes.— LestaLefty (@LestaLefty) December 26, 2025
… that ended with Hardwood declaring this.
What do you think happens to wild animals… in the wild?
— Tom Harwood (@tomhfh) December 26, 2025
Which we mention because it ended with Harwood being torn to shreds. Metaphorically speaking, obviously.

They don't get chased by posh twats with dogs https://t.co/8VZvYjafWP

2.
True they get hunted, in an equal contest, not by bloodthirsty humans with a pack of wild dogs.
Wild animals have to hunt to survive, people don't eat foxes.— LestaLefty (@LestaLefty) December 26, 2025

They don't get chased by a massive pack of dogs and people on fecking horses you nugget. https://t.co/0dugmooVz7

Are you really too dim to grasp the fundamental difference between animals killing each other in the wild, and people killing animals for entertainment?

Do you realise the difference between instinct and wilful harm? https://t.co/So2EJHr2YX

Animals hunt each other. Yes. For food, for survival. So. Here's a thing. Let the hunters hunt each other. You know, a real live experience of the wild. If one of them gets killed, well, thats just an accident isn't it?
Win, win situation yes?— Chez B (@ChezB18) December 28, 2025

Why is the TL full of posh wankers likening themselves to wild animals incapable of control or empathy, like it's a valid gotcha? https://t.co/4IWcCs9UoL

They don't generally get chased by groups of bred hounds and a bunch of wanks on horseback blowing a bugle you fucking dick

Why do you think killing animals for fun is OK Tom?
— LestaLefty (@LestaLefty) December 26, 2025
To which Harwood – never less than fair and balanced and all that, said this.
I don’t. I just don’t particularly want to ban something if occasionally a fox gets killed by accident as a result of it.
— Tom Harwood (@tomhfh) December 26, 2025
Tally ho, everyone.
