‘My curfew used to be midnight. My dad used to say “Nothing good happens after midnight.” After breaking that curfew a few times I realized he was so right. And after a certain point, the only ones still awake were awake because they were doing hard drugs like cocaine or LSD.
‘Sure as an adult I stay out past midnight all the time. I don’t think midnight counts anymore. But in high school, it was definitely true. And as an adult, I can say that, with very few exceptions, nothing good happens after 3am. The spirit of the rule holds true even if the number changed.’
