Tommy Robinson said 66% of murders in the US were by illegal immigrants and he was fact checked ’til he farted
Tommy Robinson wannabe Stephen Yaxley-Lennon was doing what he does best at the far right rally in central London at the weekend. He was making stuff up.
And in a crowded field nowhere was this more evident than when Robinson confidently declared that 66% of murders in the US last year were committed by immigrants illegally living in the US.
🚨 Tommy Robinson takes the mic and gives an unhinged speech at the “Unite the Kingdom rally” and says that 66% of the murders in the US last year were committed by illegal immigrants.
This is completely fabricated. No US crime database shows illegal immigrants committing… pic.twitter.com/O4EaMLCAck

And that irritating squeaking sound you can hear isn’t Robinson – well, it is – but very speficially it’s the sound of Little Tommy Robinson being fact checked ’til he farted.

2.
There were 11,721 murders in the US in 2025. The US border patrol actually does track crimes by type of illegal immigrants.
The total number they tracked and reported on the US government website was 23.
That’s 0.2%

Even the made-up numbers that people usually use to misrepresent this are a tiny fraction of that. Bizarre.

Multiple studies, including the right-wing Cato Institute analyses from 2013-2022, show illegal immigrants have lower homicide conviction rates than native-born Americans, at 2.2 per 100,000 compared to 3.0 per 100,000, with no credible US database supporting anywhere near 66%. https://t.co/aOb8SfRoMf
