Donald Trump said the January 6 rioters who stormed the Capitol deserve to be compensated and the entirety of the internet responded as one

January 6, 2020 will forever be a black eye on the United States of America. A bunch of drunk lunatics stormed the Capitol and tried to physically overthrow the results of the Presidential election.

Donald Trump certainly didn’t help matters that day, at various times egging on his supporters and also calling for the hanging of then Vice President Mike Pence on social media.

The rioters were eventually held accountable in court and justice was served. Until now.

That’s because the President just announced a new $1.7 billion fund to compensate the idiots who ran up on one of the most foundational buildings of America’s democracy for being treated “horribly.”

And it’s all going to be funded by taxpayer money.

Let’s hear what Trump has to say about this.

Absolute madness. His explanation makes less sense than the fund.

Who was “weaponized”? And why does that result in them being compensated? How is this not just bribery for future votes? Is anyone paying attention anymore?

So many questions. No answers.
