Talk TV’s Alex Phillips had a hysterical rant over Andy Burnham’s campaign image, and got ‘dragged’ from Manchester to London – 17 favourite clapbacks

In case you hadn’t spotted it, in the background of this clip is the portrait of Andy Burnham made by Manchester artist Stanley Chow, which the new PM used on his campaign literature in the Makerfield by-election.

He uses another Stanley Chow image on his Twitter account.

Chow’s deceptively simple illustrations are much sought after, gracing the White Stripes Icky Thump album, Manchester poet Tony Walsh’s Govan Boy, and in the New Yorker magazine, to name just a few.

None of that, however, seemed to have filtered through to Talk TV’s Alex Phillips, who completely lost her cool over Andy Burnham’s choice of avatar.

We’re not sure that ‘Donald Trump would mock this’ is the zinger Ms Phillips thinks it is, and these people didn’t seem convinced, either.
