Donald Trump was smuggled onto another plane via a catering truck, leaving staff and press on Air Force One under the threat of attack by Iran

The Washington Post has uncovered a ruse by the US Government to protect the president from a rumoured Iranian attack.

On his return from the Nato summit in Türkiye last month, Trump was smuggled onto a military plane, leaving his staff and the press pack to take Air Force One, which they had reason to believe might come under attack from Iran.

According to the Post, this is how they pulled off the switch, which left journalists and many of Trump’s staff unaware that he wasn’t on board.

While the threatened attack didn’t materialise, or was thwarted, the episode raised questions about why others were left in danger – as well as how the US expected Iran to attack if their military capabilities have been destroyed by the US.

Some journalists asked why they had been told to close their blinds, and Trump went into full BS mode – if he ever left it.
