‘I got reported at work for speeding in a company vehicle.
After a bit of questioning, I found out it was one of our truck drivers who reported me, for overtaking him on the bypass. He was in the wrong though, as he thought I needed to stick to 60 like him as I was in a pickup, even though it weighed under 2040kg and had selectable 4 wheel drive (means it can go 70).’

‘I went to McDonalds and whatever I ordered came to something like £5.20. I handed the cashier £10 and then said “I’ll give you the 20p as well to make the change easier”. He looked at me quizzically and then said “Sorry we can’t accept more than the required amount”. Unsure he had understood what I meant, I told him that I was already giving him more than the required amount by giving him £10. The 20p was in fact intended to make his job easier, and my wallet less full of coins. At this point he said he needed to check with his supervisor, who confirmed that £10.20 was an “overpayment” and that “£10 was all they could accept”.
Rather than pursue this fruitless endeavour any further, I took my £4.80 in change and retreated to eat my now cold Big Mac.’

‘Got asked for ID for a 30p energy drink (I’m 30), fine okay, take it as a compliment as they say. Go outside to my car to get my ID, return 30 seconds later to show ID and the lady on the self checkout says “Where did you get that from so suddenly, have you pinched it?”
OH YEAH of course… I just happened to rob somebody who looks just like me.’

‘One of my mum’s colleagues (both my Mum and her colleague are doctors) wasn’t allowed to do a postgraduate short course because she didn’t have maths GCSE. My Mum’s colleague did O-Level’s instead of GCSE’s as GCSE’s didn’t exist when she was 16. Eventually a more senior person who knew what O-Level’s were let her onto the course.’

‘I’d dislocated my kneecap at a sports class, and rode the bus into town the next day to pick up my push bike, wearing a massive and obvious brace.
Tried to get on the bus to go home with the bike. Driver looks at me, looks at the bike, looks at my leg brace and obvious pain. “Can’t get on the bus with that.” and shut the door.
I did manage to get on a later bus to the park and ride, where two lovely old ladies helped me put the bike in the boot of their car and gave me a lift home.’

‘Ryanair flight, our cabin bags were peaking out the top of the measuring tool. Charged us £60 each to board the flight, this cost more than the actual initial ticket.
And yes, both bags fit under the seats in front of us. Absolute jobworth manning the desk at Bristol Airport.’

‘While unstrapping our disabled relative’s wheelchair and manoeuvring said wheelchair onto the lift platform of his adapted vehicle and being asked “are you allowed to use that disabled parking slot?”.
I did momentarily wonder how far up the idiots arse I could get the aforementioned wheelchair. However, my relative needed it more.’

‘I went to the local tip to dispose of a fish tank light. Asked a member of staff which container I should use. The twat said I couldn’t dump it as it hadn’t been PAT tested.
I pointed out that a. It was a domestic light and b. It was faulty and getting disposed of. He then said it was commercial and the tip was for household items only.
At that point I left before I completely lost it. Then went back the next day and chucked it in the general waste before anyone could question me.’

‘The lady at the Post Office refused to let me pay in five bags of coins as anymore than four is money laundering. I tried explaining that nobody is laundering money in 5 and 10ps.’
