An MP complained about a late night Brexit debate and these 5 replies are all you need
When Labour MP Mary Creagh complained on Twitter about having to stay up late for a Brexit debate in the House of Commons it probably seemed like a good idea at the time.
Except it wasn’t, it really wasn’t, and these 5 replies pretty much nail it.
Bless, I’ve been fighting to keep people alive at 1.02 in the morning with no prospect of finishing till 0700 at the earliest. Must be lovely living in your bubble.

I’ve been a nurse for 41 years, the last 32 doing 12hr night shifts, if the government hadn’t stolen my pension I would be at home tucked up in bed with my husband but instead here I am tucking in people not much older than me! I’m afraid I can’t seem to muster up much sympathy😡

I worked 12 hour shifts every day for 28 day stints in 40 degrees in the desert in full PPE for less than you twats get paid.
Then the one time we give you unambiguous, clear instructions in a referendum you do everything you can to NOT do your job. https://t.co/Q340lHhVYq

One of my officers completed an 18 hour shift this week ensuring that a vulnerable victim was safeguarded and locking her abuser up. This is not unsual accept the officer cannot afford to pay into his police pension and earns less than £25000 pa

Is this some sort of joke??? I’m so offended by this.
I did 18hrs yesterday.
Spare a thought for those of us waiting to get assaulted, spat at, trying to save lives, attending fatal RTCs, taking abused children into police protection etc.
Have a nice meeting and pay rise.

The MP for Wakefield later deleted her tweet but it turns out she didn’t ignore all the responses it generated. Oh no.
Knowing that you are on the list of speakers is one of the few reassuring aspects of this nightmare. Good luck!

Thanks. Hope I did you justice!

You really are shamefaced aren’t you Mary Creagh. You ignore all the people quite rightly pouring scorn on your tweet but reply to the solitary one that praises you. And I thought the Labour Party was supposed to represent us ordinary workers 🙈
