This really is a thing in a hotel in Belgium
“Hello, room service? I’d like to order the fish please.”
My friend is staying in a hotel in Belgium. They've offered her the option of renting a fish for the night, in case she's lonely. #noshit pic.twitter.com/DG74iRSfhY

If we’re honest it’s not the first thing we’d think of if we were lonely in a hotel.
I'd consider it if it was a dog they were offering.

A dog would be even unhappier in that bowl.

Please tell me she paid for the fish

UPDATE: @GorterRieke and @ClinJennissen didn't rent the fish.

Hotel Charleroi Airport. @HotelCharleroi It promotes itself as 'surprisingly unique'. I'll look out for the story 😉 https://t.co/unOrY902NN

And someone pointed out there was a serious side to this as well.
Hopefully she contacted the local animal welfare regulator to complain about the cruelty of keeping a fish by self and in such a tiny bowl.
