Time Magazine award Person Of The Year to ‘Netflix Skip Intro Button’

A bit of wishful thinking from Reddit user mcfumunda who writes “Time Person of the Year – Netflix Skip Intro”.

But they have a point don’t they? It is great. No more watching tedious intros, just mainline the shows endlessly until it’s 4 in the morning and you go “ok, just one more episode.”

And if Netflix are looking for more good ideas here’s three:

1. “I could also use a ‘lower the volume on the intro music to The Office. Holy shit my neighbors hate me – it was normal volume a second ago’ button” says Golongria.

2. “Now if we could just get a disable autoplay trailers button life would be great. I just want to scroll through my queue or suggestions list. I just want to read the description of the film. I DO NOT want to hear an overly loud promo for it. Later…My highest rated comment by far is about how irritating NF is. I’m not sure how I feel about that” says AllwaysConfused.

3. “While we’re at it, another thing I could absolutely do without is minimizing the credits of a film or show that I *just freakin’ watched* to show me a promo for some damn show I may or may not be interested in. I like to watch the credits, especially the credits of a film. I want to know who played the sixth hooker in the bar. I don’t want to see yet another promo for Mindhunter. Yeah, yeah. I’ll watch it when I’m ready. Though frankly, seeing these unwanted and intrusive ads makes me want to watch a show less, not more” says AllwaysConfused.
