Sky News man Jon Craig wins our correction of the week
Here’s Sky News man Jon Craig making clear he might not have got all his facts right while reporting Ken Livingstone’s resignation from the Labour Party.
Very disappointed to learn reports that Ken Livingstone has or had a pet newt called Adolf, which I referred to y’day on TV & online, may not be correct. Am now told original source of this claim was satirical website “The Daily Mash”. Shame!

‘Very disappointed’ is one way of putting it, yes.
I think the word you're deliberately skirting around is 'sorry'.

The Daily Mash is a satirical website, everyone knows this & if you decide to use a site which you don’t know then why wouldn’t you verify it? Having said that, when has the Murdoch empire ever let the truth get in the way of a good story

He probably thought it said "The Daily Mail" and couldn't tell the difference.

To be fair, in comparison, @thedailymash is more believable than the Daily Mail.

He did of course have a salamander named Goering

Ken Livingstone had a turkey called Goebbels

And just in case you can’t get enough Jon Craig, here are our 6 favourite fails by the Sky News man.
We particularly enjoyed the time he just couldn’t bring himself to talk about Brexit anymore.
Guy’s a legend.
