Kanye West made an astonishing pro-Trump statement and got ripped for it – 35 savage takedowns

Kanye West or Ye, as he is currently styling himself, appeared on the most recent episode of America’s iconic satirical show, Saturday Night Live, performing his single, I Love It, whilst dressed as a bottle of Perrier – as you do. After official filming was over, he was caught on camera – by Chris Rock, no less – talking about his support for Donald Trump, with sparse claps and notable booing heard in the background.

However, his more public and controversial comment came in a tweet, as is so often the case.

In it, he both equates the pro-Trump MAGA hat he’s wearing with a force for good and suggests abolishing the 13th Amendment – THE ONE THAT ABOLISHED SLAVERY! Whether he genuinely believes what he said or was playing a dangerous publicity-seeking game ahead of the release of his new album is open for debate, but his comment was received with alarm and derision.

For a start, he annoyed Captain America himself, a.k.a. actor Chris Evans, who is renowned for calling out right-wing idiocy.
