There was a pizza party on the International Space Station and you’ll never top that
After Italian astronaut Paolo Nespoli mentioned that he missed pizza when serving aboard the International Space Station – and who wouldn’t? – NASA stepped in with a treat for him and the rest of the crew. Since Papa John’s doesn’t deliver to their area, NASA arranged for ingredients to be delivered during one of their interactions with other spacecraft and the men made their own pizzas in space.
It wasn’t as simple as it would be in a terrestrial kitchen, with a system of Velcro straps being used to hold the pizza bases and other components in place during construction, before the results were wrapped in foil and heated. Happily, @astro_paolo shared a clip of the process.

What it lacked in atmosphere, it made up for in novelty. Although the pizza party – and film night – happened in December 2017, Tech Insider has just shared its own video with more details of how the pizzas were made.

Others weren’t all that impressed by the astronauts’ culinary creations.
Adult sized lunchables, but somehow I bet it’s even worse 😂

Twitter user and LEGO fan @LEGOBenny had a suggestion for future pizza binges.
You need a pizza oven like the International Spacey Station! #awesome pic.twitter.com/sLxZ804itC
