England’s Cricket World Cup winners played a super over and a lot of people made the same joke
In a thrilling final – and that’s not something that’s often said about cricket – England beat New zealand to win the Cricket World Cup for the first time, and they had to play a – theoretically – tiebreaking “super over” to do it. Two things happened: “super over” became the top in-fill prediction for the word “super” on Google, and a lot of people on Twitter made the same joke.
