This hilarious Amazon customer service clapback is simply brutal

When an order or a product goes wrong then it’s always with a very deep breath that you hit the ‘customer service’ button.

Because it’s fair to say some retailers are rather better at this sort of thing than others.

But we’ve never had an exchange quite like this Amazon customer service response which would have had us fuming and applauding at the same time.

‘Amazon be letting you know all about your self,’ said HoJay3 who shared it over on Reddit.

As clapbacks go, that one deserves a five-star rating.

Amazon: ‘It looks like this item is not eligible for replacement. But I can offer you a full refund and you can place a new order.’

‘I can offer you a refund to your Amazon gift card balance. Does that work?

‘Refunds to your Amazon gift card balance are issued within 2-3 hours.’

Customer: ‘How is it not eligible for replacement? I already paid for the item and never received it. How can you not replace?’

Amazon: ‘This is a third party item that is why it is not eligible for replacement.’

Customer: ‘Ahhh, ok.’

Amazon: ‘I am sorry for the inconvenience you caused.’

Customer: ‘Wait, what?’
