Boris Johnson said he mistook the boozy No 10 garden party for a ‘work event’ – 27 100% proof takedowns
In a feverishly anticipated PMQs, Boris Johnson has finally admitted that he did indeed attend the ‘BYOB’ party in the garden of 10 Downing Street at the height of lockdown in May 2020.
But in a characteristic – and hilarious – twist, Johnson claimed that he didn’t realise it was a party, he thought it was a ‘work event’. A work event.
So 25 minutes later as it gradually dawned on him that the people around him were sharing nibbles and bottles of booze rather than PowerPoint presentations, he went back into his office.

And however stupid Johnson thought the British public were before he said this, it surely just went down several notches further.
His ‘work event’ defence prompted no end of mockery online and these 27 people surely said it best.
