Hard to believe but Edwina Currie just sank even lower about Boris Johnson’s law-breaking
We hesitate to return to the world of Edwina Currie but sometimes there really is just no ignoring the former Tory MP and cabinet minister.
You might remember how yesterday she told Rylan Clark to ‘get real’ over Boris Johnson’s law-breaking it didn’t end well for her.
He’s officially broke the law . That’s it ain’t it?

No, it isn’t.
Shouldn’t have happened, but it’s done now.
In case you hadn’t noticed, this all happened two years ago.
Putin is laughing at us.
Get real. https://t.co/pDZZ6xU1a2— Edwina Currie (@Edwina_Currie) April 13, 2022
I did not have @Edwina_Currie on my bingo card for this morning. Edwina, there’s a war, we’re living with Covid, there’s a lot going on publicly and personally. I’m aware when it was. Believe me I don’t need to “get real” it’s a statement. Not an opinion. You stay well, as will I https://t.co/giMDSVi0Z6

The presenter wasn’t the only one to reply to Currie. Lots and lots of people did, as you might imagine, including Pink News chief executive, Benjamin Cohen.
Two years ago I had to say goodbye to my Grandad over FaceTime and wasn’t allowed to hug my Mum at his funeral. This isn’t something that we are likely to ever forget or forgive.

And Currie’s response was something to behold.
But it won’t bring them back either, Ben. 😢 https://t.co/3rbuxHXGjP

Incredible.
You do know you’ve just tweeted this to the world and everyone can see it?

And there’s the bottom of the barrel. We should forget about the partying of the rulemakers while people sacrificed seeing their loved ones before they died because it “won’t bring them back”. pic.twitter.com/apD2yeHkQm

Well, congratulations are in order. You actually managed to sink lower 👏

If anyone was wondering how long it was before the tories just said "Get over it they're dead" after a global pandemic that caused unknown hurt on millions of people, it was about 3 months after they stopped caring about it. pic.twitter.com/dh6XgIzOUc

Last word to @benjamincohen.
I’ve been overwhelmed by the thoughtful tweets I’ve got after Edwina posted this. I don’t regret that we followed the rules, what I do regret is that Downing Street ignored the rules it asked us all to follow. There’s a thread below which I posted when my Grandad passed away https://t.co/TRhInKumnN
