Pete Hegseth continues the Foxification of the Pentagon by ‘ordering a hair and make-up studio’ at taxpayers’ expense
According to CBS sources, US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth ordered thousands of dollars’ worth of alterations to create a hair and make-up studio in a green room at the Pentagon.

Heaven forbid he should have to blame other people for his own failings and leaks with a shiny nose or – just spitballing, here – one of his sideburns shaved off and the other one intact.
look at Pete Hegseth’s sideburns and tell me this man isn’t drunk shaving pic.twitter.com/eR1GgE6Sqv

Hegseth issued a flat denial of the story.
Who to believe – several sources speaking to CBS, or the man who said a journalist made up a story about a Signal chat to smear him? It’s a tough one.
The former Fox News presenter is, in fact, fielding a second Signal group chat controversy, after it emerged that he discussed the strike on Yemen with his wife, brother, and personal lawyer, in a separate group chat to the one to which a journalist had been inadvertently added.
News that he may be spending public money on a literal vanity project was greeted with the scorn it deserved.

Brilliant use of taxpayer money! I thought we were cutting waste? But instead we are firing people in key roles and stalling critical medical research so that people in the pentagon can get their hair and makeup done. Excellent

It's an administration of people hired because the president liked their TV hits who thus think their job is doing TV hits. https://t.co/Qiop4URtPA

I’m all for men wearing makeup – it should be encouraged!
But it’s ironic that many fans of Hegseth would usually make fun of men who appear too obsessed with vanity, yet he gets a makeup studio lol https://t.co/yVIT89dzVb

It isn’t the first time someone has made this suggestion, and it won’t be the last.
This isn't an administration, is a reality TV set.
