This ‘self-made’ property investor’s post about getting his PA to sort out his car when he ran out of petrol didn’t make the point he thought it made

So what you’re saying is that your incompetence in not making sure you had sufficient fuel created an unnecessary and avoidable task for your PA. Sounds like you’re a crap manager and probably shouldn’t be allowed near cars.

If you're too thick not to refuel your car when the fuel gauge is showing low you're not a person to do business with.
Sorry pal.

Money might buy you time and convenience, but obviously not the brains to remember to put fuel in your car in the first place. Dickhead.

You can get fined in the UK for running out of fuel as it can cause an obstruction and is deemed careless driving .. also, I hope you said 'please' to your PA, rather than 'sort it' .. otherwise money doesn't seem to buy you manners or the ability to fill your own car.

You’d think that, in addition to buying time and freedom, money might also be able to buy other things… like, I don’t know, a tank of petrol before your journey, maybe?

I’d use the money and put fuel in the car before it runs out, but that’s just me
