An ‘investor’ on Twitter has offered a ‘simple’ solution for people who are struggling with rising food costs, but it didn’t go down well at all
We’ve surely all but the very richest of us noticed the rising costs of our supermarket shops over recent years, and it’s definitely not an illusion. According to data from the Office for National Statistics (ONS), overall food and non-alcoholic drink prices have increased by roughly 30% to 38% compared to five years ago.
But, for some people on Twitter, we should all just stop moaning and suck it up. Here’s Shane, a self-proclaimed ‘investor’ who is also offering some delicious recipe ideas for those who are struggling with their grocery bills.
Here’s the Tweet.

Yum. If his advice came from a good place (which it probably didn’t), then the replies must have come as a surprise (again, of course they probably didn’t).
Here’s how Twitter reacted to the Poundland 30p Lee.
