Alice Cooper performing ‘School’s Out’ on a 1978 episode of The Muppet Show is a wonderful thing of joy

Everything is improved with the addition of The Muppets, it’s just a fact. The fuzzy and furry puppets of Jim Henson’s The Muppet Show have been bringing joy into the hearts of kids and adults alike since 1976, with guest appearances from stars from the very top of the A-list, including Elton John, Johnny Cash, Julie Andrews, Diana Ross, Prince and Gene Kelly.

Here we rewind to a 1978 Halloween episode of the show, featuring the suitably ‘talented and frightening’ guest, Alice Cooper. The ‘Godfather of Shock Rock’ performed three of his songs during the episode, and it’s his best known that was used to close the show. It’s been going viral after being shared by The Sting over on Twitter.

Ladies and gentlemen, put your hands together for Alice Cooper and the monster Muppets performing School’s Out.

Glorious! The reviews came rushing in.
