Home gym. As someone who works out 5 times a week, and can’t make it to the gym before hell time (5pm>), I simply hate dealing with public gyms.

Not something per se but we have a cleaner come round every Friday for 2 hours. There are 3 of us in this house and then 50% of the time that doubles when my 3 teenagers stay here and our bathroom and toilets get used a lot so she comes on a Friday and deep cleans the bathroom and toilets, then dusts and hoovers and it’s absolutely immense.

Cinema room. Yup, a proper, dedicated cinema room, projector, surround sound, the works. It’s my go to place in the evening, I use it virtually every day (even if it’s just to watch YouTube or send some emails etc).

I have really nice bedsheets. Each set costs about £130 and we have about three sets that we rotate. Completely spoiled me for bedsheets. Now anything less than these amazing silky soft like a cloud bedsheets feels like I’m sleeping on sandpaper.

Technically outside but my robot lawnmower is a godsend. One cut at the start of the year with the normal lawnmower and then the robot takes care of of the rest of the year.

My Insinkerator waste disposal unit in my kitchen sink. Gets rid of 99% of food waste and I don’t need a food waste bin hanging around smelling in the heat.

3 storey house with a Shark vac on each floor (exact same model).
They get used more and thus things are tidier when you don’t need to go up or down stairs to retrieve the vac.

Honestly, nothing.
Had them all. My life was on the treadmill chasing the shiny things: house, car, gadgets and holidays. Had an old farmhouse and a Mercedes plus all the trappings.
Had a breakdown and lost it all. Am struggling to think of anything I paid a lot for around my house. My Samsung phone was £50 off EBay. All my furniture was from charity shops, as are the clothes that are not also from EBay.
I was gifted a coffee-maker by a neighbour for doing their garden; it sits in a cupboard unused. I do like long walks in the Scottish hills – but they are free.
