We rely on signs for so much in life, from driving safely to finding the eggs in the supermarket, so we expect them to be clear, logical and useful.

But, it turns out, quite often they are anything but.

Over on the CasualUK subreddit, user PeevesPoltergist shared an example of one that baffled them, and said:

”I love a good nonsensical sign. Do you have any examples?’
