Nearly naked ‘grumpy old woman’ glues bum to Croydon department store in protest
A woman calling herself the ‘world’s grumpiest old woman 2015’ glued herself to a department store window in protest, reports the Croydon Advertiser.
Kay Bishop, 56, wore just a pubic wig and a flesh-coloured bra with nipples on it as she protested.
She told the Croydon Advertiser that “I’m doing it because I don’t like the way the world’s going, there are some real serious issues going on and no one’s doing anything about it. It’s not the little stuff, it’s the big stuff. Like everyone else, I shout at the telly but I’m fed up of shouting at the telly.”
A Debenhams spokesman said: “An incident involving a female did take place outside our Croydon store today. It is great to hear that customers like our window displays so much that they would like to be part of it. We can confirm that she will not be a permanent fixture.”
She received some sympathy from Twitter users.
