Over-30s have been sharing their most valuable life advice – 19 words of wisdom actually worth listening to
10.
If he ever yells at you, he’s not the one. He needs some alone time to figure things out, and shouldn’t be in a relationship until he can communicate like an adult. Don’t waste your best years with someone who doesn’t treat you well.

For the love of all that is holy, put your phone down for five damn seconds to take in/enjoy/be present for whatever event you’re at or thing you’re doing. A concert, close your eyes and feel that music. The beach, dig your toes in that sand and breathe in the fresh air. Live. In that moment, live.

Happiness is a journey not a destination.
Do not make it dependent on some future goal or event.
If you do you will not be happy, find joy in the process.— Darkpoint (@darkpoint.bsky.social) 10 May 2025 at 22:07

Embrace your inner cringe. You’re going to be foolish in public because you’re a human and it’s unavoidable. The sooner you can let go of the embarrassment and just embrace your goofy side, the more relaxed/happy you will be.
(Plus, feeling confidence in your own whimsical self is sexy as hell.)

14.
If there’s something you want to do or place you want to travel to, don’t wait for someone else to do it/go with you. Solo adventures are very rewarding.
15.
Don’t focus on finding love. Focus on yourself, your hobbies and doing things that make you happy and love will find you.,

You probably wouldn’t take career advice from a 16 year old, so don’t be afraid to reassess your die-hard opinion of what you wanted to ‘be’ when you were younger.

Unexplained pain is not a “normal part of getting old.” Pain is a symptom of something else. If you have unexplained pain, get it checked out asap. Yes, you get weaker and slower as you age (to some extent) but pain is not and should not be a given. Do not ignore it.
