This ‘centaur-style’ robot designed for rescuing people from dangerous environments had people thinking they’d prefer to remain un-rescued
The world of robotics seems to be progressing just as quickly and as terrifyingly as the world of AI. But whilst most assistant robots under development remain distinctly humanoid in form, a US company called Satyress is working on an altogether more sinister-looking automaton.
Meet Threehalves, the ‘superhumanoid general purpose robot’.

Yikes! Thanks to Drone Wars for sharing on Twitter and for giving a little background info.

Were people excited about sharing a world with Threehalves and their kin? Not so much.
