What does Britain do better than anywhere else in the world? – 17 little things to feel patriotic about

10.

‘We foster an attitude amongst our workforce which priorities problem solving and being a self starter. I have worked all over the world, and so many cultures foster an attitude of people doing exactly what they’re told to do and not thinking critically. British people are trained from a young age to challenge authority if there is a better solution. Also a stoicism that means that stuff quietly happens when you give a job to a Brit, where a lot of other cultures are showing up and shouting about being busy while really not achieving much!

‘It’s notable that the other countries that have this attitude are anglophone ones that were part of the empire (Canada, Australia, NZ).’
